RT-3 Transmitter

     (none)    Case is somewhat rough/crude from the casting process. Lid marked "DET B-1 MIAMI FLA". Lots of hand-wear on knobs. Key knob is a more rounded shape than later models. Serial was carefully removed from panel. The base of the FT-243 socket is brown, not black. Ant. current lamp housing has larger knurling than later models. All binding posts stamped with "RDR". Power plug is brown, not black. Front panel lettering is smaller than later models. Inside show signs of repair. Tubes have 1964 and 1966 dates.

     3336 "RT-3" stenciled in white on top and bottom, MWO "39" dated 25-Apr-66. Lid casting says C-8355-B D605A B/Z W. Box is casting C 8356 RFO 95. "0-43" marking on tubes (late 1950 ?).

3767 Case shows some 'roughness' from the casting process. 2E26 tube marked "8-52". 6AC7 is marked "2-09".

4324 Bottom case corners are ‘semi-sharp’.

     4765 RT/A-3 conversion (see below).

     4961 2E26 has "3-04" marking (early 1953 ?). No "RDR" markings.

40   Marked with two MWO numbers. P.S. #40 exists also.

     ?    (number removed) Tube date codes include 1950 and 1951. The two 0B2 tube sockets are labeled “0C3”, although the 0C3 is an octal type, and the sockets/panel don’t appear to have been modified.

     2020 [Unit pictured in manual, and labeled "RR-2", not "RR-2B".]

RR-2B Receiver

     (?) Serial # has been removed, but was probably 2 digits. Panel was originally marked “RR-2”, but the “B” was added in white ink. “RDR” marking on knobs and binding posts. Bottom edge perimeter of case is a sharp corner, not rounded.

     (none) Looks like it never had a serial # marking.

     6690 Lid marked "RR-2B" in small orange lettering. Knobs do *not* have "RDR" stamping.

7175 Front panel only, mounted on a plaque given to a retiree.
